Further information

The National Dementia Action Plan is a joint initiative with state and territory governments. It is a 10-year plan to put people living with dementia, their families, and carers at the centre of all action on dementia.

The Action Plan’s vision is where Australians understand dementia - people living with dementia and their carers have the best quality of life possible. The Action Plan will mean better coordinated approaches to dementia risk reduction, early diagnosis and improvements in services.

Have your say now, by completing our short online survey (approximately 15 minutes)

Your feedback will shape the final National Dementia Action Plan, which is due to be released in 2023.

The Department of Health and Aged Care acknowledges the traditional owners of country throughout Australia, and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures, and to elders both past and present.
