The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission has released its latest complaints about aged care services report. It is the Commission’s second complaints report, this time sharing insights from complaints received about aged care home services.

This report is for people receiving services through Home Care Packages and the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.

A good complaints process is essential, so people receiving care and their representatives can raise issues. It also helps providers make improvements.

The report includes information on:

  • home services

  • the role of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission

  • your rights and what to expect from your provider

  • aged care quality standards

  • how to get help and raise concerns

  • how complaints are resolved

  • case studies and tips for people receiving care.

Read more about complaints about aged care services on the Commission’s website.
