More medicines available for 60-day prescriptions

A man standing outside a pharmacy holding a prescription, with a large green sign behind him that reads, "More PBS medicines are available for 60-day prescriptions." He is wearing a brown jacket and cap, smiling slightly.

Almost 300 medicines are now available for 60-day prescriptions. This applies to medications that are part of the pharmaceutical benefits scheme.

If you take regular medication, you might be eligible to get twice the amount of medication on one prescription. This can save you money and mean less trips to the pharmacy.

Talk to your health professional and they can confirm the quantity of medicine you can be supplied based on the stability of your health condition at the time.
