Support at Home pricing

An older person discussing home care services

We have released new pricing guidance for the Support at Home program to ensure in-home aged care prices from 1 July are reasonable and transparent.

For the first year of the program, providers will continue to set their own prices for Support at Home services, as they do now for the Home Care Packages (HCP) Program. From 1 July 2026, the government will set price caps.

The price for a Support at Home service will include the entire cost of delivering that service, including administrative costs. So, when you move from HCP to the Support at Home program, prices for the services you receive may change.

Before 1 July, your provider will explain any price changes and give you a new service agreement to sign.

We have compiled a summary of indicative Support at Home prices to help you compare costs. This can help you decide if the prices your current provider is charging are reasonable, or if you want to choose another provider.

The government has put protections in place to keep prices reasonable and transparent. Providers must publish their standard prices on their website and My Aged Care.
