Your right to quality residential aged care

Aged care homes are responsible for providing dedicated care time to all residents.
This means registered nurses, enrolled nurses, personal care workers and assistants in nursing must spend quality time with each resident so everyone receives the dedicated care they deserve.
The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission oversees the quality of aged care services across Australia. They work to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of older people.
The Commission wants you to feel confident you're receiving safe, high-quality care and services that meet your individual needs.
If you're concerned about staffing or the care you're receiving in your aged care home, make a complaint online or call 1800 951 822.
