Further information

We are inviting feedback on some of the Rules on place allocation, funding and obligations for providers for the new Aged Care Act.

This is Stage 4a of our consultation on the new Aged Care Rules.

This stage covers:

  • how aged care providers are given places to deliver services under certain specialist aged care programs
  • what providers must do, such as record keeping, reporting and having a registered nurse on-site at all times
  • how accommodation payments work in different types of aged care
  • how former providers must manage information.

Your feedback will help everyone get ready for the new Act to start from 1 July this year.

Read our supporting document for more details and share your feedback via our online form by 11 April.
