New aged care allied health needs assessment tool

We are seeking feedback on the design of a new allied health needs assessment tool for residential aged care.

The tool will help providers:

  • identify when a resident needs to see an allied health professional (including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech pathology and podiatry)
  • monitor whether residents' allied health needs are being met
  • report data on the allied health quality indicator data point 'percentage of recommended allied health services received'.

Your feedback will help create a tool that:

  • ensures residents receive appropriate allied health care
  • uses best practice in line with up-to-date evidence
  • supports aged care providers to meet quality standards.

Read supporting information and our fact sheet for more details.

Complete the online survey or provide a written submission to AHNAT@healthconsult.com.au by 23 June.
